GranTurismo Convertible MC Centennial Edition
When it comes to designing convertibles, Maserati has always led the way. The speed, reliability and elegance of its very first open-top racing cars marked Maserati out as a motoring powerhouse from the very beginning. Cutting-edge for their time, the legacy of these early cabriolets is plain to see in the convertible masterpieces crafted by Maserati throughout its glorious hundred years in business. Today’s Maserati makes travel a powerful and unique experience, with the new MC Centennial Edition representing the ultimate in motoring ‘al fresco’.
Unrivalled power, performance and elegance: the GranTurismo Convertible MC Centennial Edition is a luxury true Maserati lovers cannot afford to miss.
It is no coincidence that Maserati opted to release an exclusive new edition of the Convertible to mark its first centenary. This model evokes the essence of the House of the Trident with a silhouette that is as powerful as it is elegant. The Convertible MC Centennial Edition also pays tribute to its illustrious forebear: the brand’s first soft-top to comfortably accommodate four people.
Precision engineering reigns supreme under the bonnet, where a 90 degree V8 engine of 4,691 cm3 generates 454 HP at 7,000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 520 Nm at 4,750 rpm. Quick, smooth gear shifts are guaranteed by the six-speed ZF automatic gearbox with hydraulic torque converter, while four operating modes give the driver complete control.
Maserati has championed technological expertise and innovation since 1914. The centennial edition represents the culmination of this heritage, where one hundred years of cutting edge design reaches its zenith. Despite its long wheelbase, the streamlined form offers outstanding aerodynamic performance, while a balanced weight distribution achieves trustworthy, predictable handling.
Italian Premium leather seats in Bianco Pregiato, exquisite Blu Santorini inserts and contrasting stitching in Blu Sofisticato, make the interior of the Convertible MC Centennial Edition truly sublime. This is the perfect colour combination for a cabriolet: a luxurious yet sporty interior that comes into its own when it is opened up to the sun and sky.
The interior of the Convertible MC Centennial Edition is the perfect tribute to the quality and finesse of Maserati design. The expertise of skilled artisans is strongly articulated throughout, from the painstaking double stitching of the cabriolet’s upholstery to its carpets with matching accent trims. A comfortable, streamlined arrangement of panels in the seating moulds to the contours of the body and ensures a relaxing drive for all.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.
Posted Notice Requirement
Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties
Civil and Criminal Penalties
As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.
Required Written Notices
If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
