MCLAREN 675 LT REVIEW

LT, or Long Tail, denotes this track-oriented version of the 650S that raises the level of performance from the already epic 650S. With over 666 bhp, 25 bhp more than 650S, and 520 lb-ft of torque, the McLaren 675LT can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed in excess of 205 mph. The story of the 675LT is much more than just augmentation of power. 675LT features new super high-performance carbon ceramic brakes, superlight wheels and track-focused tires, a larger air brake/rear wing assembly with a redesigned rear diffuser that provides 40 percent more downforce than 650S for improved grip when cornering, and new carbon fiber components in both the exterior and interior. All of these weight-saving measures equal a 220 lb weight loss from 650S, meaning 675LT is an incredibly raw supercar that is blisteringly fast around the track, but is still usable on the road courtesy of its four-wheel independent suspension. For 2017, the new 675LT Spider adds a visceral open-top driving experience to the 675LT series with a retracting hard top from the 650S. Overall, McLaren 675LT provides the best performance characteristics for the track from any McLaren supercar and rivals the track capabilities of the awesome P1 hypercar.
