MCLAREN 650 S SPIDER REVIEW

Based on the McLaren MP4-12C, the first McLaren production car since the iconic F1 from the early 1990s, the 650S takes performance to the next level. With 641 bhp and 500 lb-ft of torque from its 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developed from the 12C, 650S can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 207 mph. With a reworked 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual, 650S provides near-instantaneous shifts, and its torque provides powerful acceleration no matter what gear you may be in. The 650S Spider has an electric-folding hardtop that can retract while on the move in order to hear the wonderful music that comes from the V8. Both variants of 650S retain the advanced independent suspension from the 12C in order to provide thrilling handling characteristics while performing smoothly on the road to mitigate the effects of bumps and jolts from the road. 650S, therefore, is the ultimate supercar that provides supreme performance on both the road and track.
