Fiskers inaugural model, the Karma, is arguably the most innovative car on the road today. It is surely one of the most beautiful having just been named Automobile Magazines Design of the Year. This is a hybrid electric vehicle whose power-train is a combination of a highly efficient 2.0 liter direct injected turbocharged four cylinder gasoline engine working in tandem with a generator which in turn charges two lithium-ion batteries that propel the car. The result of all of this technology is simplicity itself; a vehicle that you can plug in or fill upits your choiceits that simple. The Karma can travel about 50 miles solely in electric stealth mode while producing zero emissions at the tailpipe and delivering an achievable 100 mpg e. Conversely, you can travel about another 250 miles with the assistance of the gasoline engine in sport mode. Its a no compromise vehicle whose creators have eliminated the range anxiety that hobbles purely electric vehicles, keeping them perpetually assigned to mundane local chores. You can drive the Karma across town or across the country without hesitation and in the comfort of a truly luxurious ecologically responsible interior using a variety of recycled and rescued materials including rescued wood trim from fallen or sunken trees. Eco chic cars created in equally eco-friendly facilities. Indulgence that needs no justification. Zero emissions and zero comprise for a cleaner conscience. Introducing the Fisker Karma, the worlds first luxury plug-in hybrid sedan. Karmas dramatic proportions and sumptuous design offer smile-inducing performance. The interior is surprisingly spacious as it comfortably seats four adults and stores an ample amount of luggage. A fully charged Karma burns no fuel for the first 50 miles. Venture further and a small, clean burning gasoline engine recharges the lithium ion battery pack, powering the electric motor and turning the rear wheels. With an efficient gasoline engine turning a generator to power 403HP worth of electric motor, this set up makes it possible to achieve annual fuel economy of 100mpg. Karmas wide stance and low center of gravity offer a world class driving experience.

Wood Trim:

Is recovered from tress found in Americas wilds Fallen Trees that have succumbed o age; Rescued Trees burned in forest fires; and Sunken ress lying on lake bottoms.

Recycled EcoGlass:

Is made from naturally occurring sand, features jewel-like faceted edges that add richness and life. Its immense strength is drawn from proprietary layered resin construction.

Carpeting:

Is wool based and is made naturally and produced harmlessly, with backing from 75% ground plant fibers

The EcoSport:

Series incorporates hand-wrapped premium leather processed using a 100% sustainable Happy Cow manufacturing strategy. Free range animals are never branded and few only a select grain and grass diet. Our design intent is to preserve the natural look and feel of the leather, while highlighting the natural markings of each side. As a result, fewer hides are used and animals live stress-free lives in their natural environment. Our most advanced sustainable material trim series, EcoChic, is based on an animal-free approach that sill offers a luxurious automotive environment. Leather is replaced by 100% Bamboo Viscose, a soft hand textile while EcoGlass trim frames authentic fossilized leaves.
